A very safe bet, where the experience is such that you will always enjoy a good meal, whether you order the famous “dadinhos de tapioca”, the delicious “torresminhos”, the traditional “rabada” or less conventional but equally superb options, such as the “beijupira ceviche”. The cuisine follows the same pattern as the flagship Mocotó, namely informal and inclusive cuisine that combines influences from the Sertão region courtesy of founder José Almeida (the chef's father) and an innovative approach from renowned cook Rodrigo Oliveira. Even though the original chef is not present In this Vila Leopoldina outpost, it is clear that the brand’s identity remains intact through expressive flavours and seasonings. Simplicity is very much to the fore here, a sentiment enhanced by the cheerful colour scheme and the open kitchen running the length of the dining room and is one of the main reasons it is never empty. If you’re keen to savour the chef's homely cuisine, we recommend arriving early as the restaurant does not take bookings.
