Surrounded by splendid mountain peaks, this boutique Alpine hotel and its excellent gourmet restaurant of the same name provide a warm, welcoming haven for guests. The chefs here create elegant, refined dishes that showcase the best Slovenian ingredients, paying careful attention to local recipes. Specialities include bear prosciutto served with bread crackers, hazelnut cream and pear, and smoked trout with camomile-flavoured frothed milk, carrot reduction and pickled celery. The menu always features a few vegetarian options, such as fried celeriac with pinenut butter, poached egg and hollandaise sauce.
