The history of this magnificent country mansion overlooking the Idrijca river valley dates back to the 14C. Today, the building houses a warm and elegant restaurant, with stylish rooms for winter dining and a beautiful terrace for the summer. The cuisine is traditional and full of authentic flavours, featuring two tasting menus – Katarina (fish) and Jakob (meat). We recommend the latter, especially if it includes the delicious “bati and bakalca” (steamed bread dough and lamb goulash). The entire wine list is dedicated to Slovenia, with all wines available by the glass – the Štemberger Malvazija is particularly good. Charming guestrooms complete the picture.
