The nostalgic Bixiga district of the city was the place chosen by famous chef Henrique Fogaça, a judge on Masterchef Brazil, to open this restaurant almost a decade ago. Now completely remodelled with exposed brick walls and a rustic-contemporary decor, Jamile features a large dining room, an open kitchen plus a bar counter for guests keen to watch the culinary action unfold, as well as an inner terrace. Traditional Brazilian cuisine is the mainstay here, showcased via a harmonious combination of ingredients and flavours from different regions. Options on the menu include crispy cupim dumplings with a pepper jelly, “cupim do sal” with yellow cassava and plantain farofa, as well as a delicious “moqueca baiana” of white fish with prawns and cassava farofa.
