Chef and co-owner Lattoia Massey, better known as Chef Nicola Blaque, and her husband Cornelius Massey, are serving up what may be the best Caribbean/Jamaican fare in the city. Set in an industrial location, the interior is brightened by mood-elevating decor and a genuine warmth emanating from the staff. Expect a mix of traditional dishes and playful plates that have been given a modern twist. No matter the selection, this is downhome delicious cooking, from the flavorful jerk chicken to jackfruit tacos and roasted cauliflower curry to the scrumptious sides like caramelized fried plantains or fluffy rice and peas. Be sure to save room for the "bread pudding" made with pancake batter, warm peaches, and rum-caramel sauce.
