An interesting choice both in terms of its cuisine and its location in Foz do Douro, where the waters of the Douro meet those of the Atlantic. The attractive building, part of the city’s architectural heritage, is split between two levels, with one on the charming ground floor (home to the wine cellar), and the other, the main dining room (with a more cosmopolitan feel), upstairs. Pedro Lemos concentrates his cuisine on three tasting menus (one of which is vegetarian), all of which feature elaborate dishes that highlight the freshness of ingredients from the local area and, more generally, from other regions around the country. We highly recommend hailing a taxi to get here as the restaurant is situated in an historic district of the city with narrow streets where parking is difficult.
