The name (almost) says it all here: it is indeed an endearing neighbourhood bistro, but Norman is not in fact the owner – instead, it’s the name of both the owner’s dog and his grandfather. Rustic décor adds to the welcoming feel, as do the polite, helpful service team. The great value sharing plates incorporate influences from both the Mediterranean and Japan, while the ‘eggy bread’ with bacon jam shows off the chefs’ playful side. The wine list is concise but, refreshingly, it’s all available by the glass.
