Description
A visit to Guimarães offers a deep-dive into Portuguese history – a result of its historic relevance to the country and its title as “the cradle of the Portuguese nation”. Part of the Hotel da Oliveira, in the heart of the city, this dining space boasts a classic decor of stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. The gourmet cuisine created here by head chef Vítor Matos and overseen daily by chef Liliana Moura is both innovative and focused on the country’s traditional culinary roots. This is presented on three tasting menus (À Descoberta, Raízes and Terra Mãe), alongside a choice of à la carte options.
